Raspberry Settings

In Raspberry Settings you can change some of the basic settings of your Max2Play device. Here you can change something like overclocking the CPU or activating the hotplug function with HDMI.

Reach the Menue

The Raspberry Settings are only available with a Max2Play-Premium Account. This Plugin is one of the Pre-installed options from Max2Play. Here you can see the order of your menu:

Choose soundcard to load on boot

First of all you can choose your prefered sound card. In this dropdown menu you see all sound cards which are supported by max2play os. As you can see here:

Overclocking and GPU-Memory

As you can read in the description of it, here you can get the maximum of your device. What is possible here:

• Overclock the CPU: to get more power of your device (Attention: Here it comes to a higher heat output of the device and maybe the device have a shorter lifetime)
• Resize the GPU-Memory: if you do not use Kodi or any other graphical overlays you can enter here „16“ MB. And the gpu have more memory to use for other options.
• Max USB-Current: This Option is giving a more intensive current on USB-Ports. If enabled, the USB-Ports get 1.2A instead of only 0.6A.
• Disable Bluetooth on RPi3: Disable Bluetooth on Pi 3. This may be neccessary to get the HifiBerry Digi+ and Dac+ Pro working.
• Disable Build-in-Audio on RPi3: This may be neccessary to get the HifiBerry AMP+ working.
• Disable IPv6: If you always want a IPv4 address in your local network. Also some links may be broken with IPv6.

Set Audio Output on Raspberry Pi

Here you can choose the Output of audio on your Raspberry Pi. You can choose between 3 options:

• Default – this is the recommended adjustmend for external sound cards
• HDMI – audio output is browsing over HDMI of your Raspberry Pi
• Headphone Jack – audio output is browsing over the 3.5mm cinch

Change HDMI Settings for Display Resolution, Framerate and Audio

Some settings for HDMI output of the Raspberry Pi can be change here.

Attention: You have to plug in first the display and start then your device. Otherwise the display is not avaiable for the raspberry pi. Later, if the hotplug option is activated, you can plug and unplug the display whenever you want

• HDMI Resolution: Here you can set the optimal resolution for your display. You can only set known display resolutions (first plug in the display and max2play is learning the resolution for the future)
• HDMI-Mode: Here you should set DVI (VGA) or HDMI. This may be needed, if you connect to a DVI (VGA) monitor and choose a fixed HDMI-Resolution or to force audio over HDMI.
• HDMI Force Hotplug: To connect HDMI after boot, otherwise the HDMI output will be blank. Firstly set for this option – HDMI Resolution and HDMI Mode.
• Disable Overscan: This option is sometimes needed to fit screen to your TV
• Disable Screen Sleep on Desktop: Prevent a black screen / sleep mode when you use the device not for some time.
• Disable Under-Voltage warning: The under-voltage warning box will be disabled through this option.
• Enable High-Resolution Audio on HDMI: If you want to use the audio output from HDMI without a sound card you can use this option to get a higher audio resolution.

License Keys for Hardware Video decoding

Here you can enter the code  which you bought to enable your raspberry pi to decode MPEG-2 videos and VC-1 video in hardware.

Kernel and Package Updates and Upgrades

This Options are updating Raspian and the kernel of your Raspberry Pi.
