    Hello guys!

First of all, I’d like congratulate you for this magnificent work!! VERY, VERY WELLDONE!!!
    I’m loving Max2Play!
But I’m having an issue with my 24/96 Alac files that don’t play at Squeezelite. 16/44 plays beautifully!
I’m guessing that the registered version will solve this minor problem… Am I right?

    Greetings from Rio de Janeiro!

Not sure but it could be that the CPU is to slow to handle it.

Odroid has a faster CPU. If that’s what is wrong.

Whay about FLAC 24/96 ? You can convert this ALAC without losses and try FLAC – should be less CPU consuming… Or try DAC ant send in native format to be decoded by DAC.

    Hi Raymond!
    Thanks for your quick answer!
In fact, it can be the CPU, as I’m using a Rasp Pi B+. Pehaps if I swith to a Rasp Pi 2, it can handle the alac 24/96…
In the other hand, I’m using a Hifiberry Digi+ atached, sending direct to a DAC. So, I think the last DAC is decoding the Alac 24/96, ins’t it? Unfortunately, this is not a solution.
But, yes! FLAC 24/96 plays like a charm!
My Alac 24/96 colection isn’t that big, so conversion should be the best solution!
    Thank you guys!

    Hello

I got playback issue with also standard 16/44 alac files.
Weird things, it s not happening with all my albums.
I have read the squeezelite doc and tried option
    -e alac

and all my files are now working

My question : qhat do LMS is doing in that case : I am hoping it converts to wav on the fly but i m afraid not

Anyone have extra info about this squeezelite -e option ?

    Many thanks

    Dear Mrpink200,

You can find a table of command line options for squeezelite in our wiki.

    Hello Christophe

Yes, i have found the command here, but i do not find what this „-e“ option is doing
Does it convert to wav ??

    Dear Mrpink200

Your files will be not converted into wav. The description in this article say: Explicitly exclude native support of one or more codecs; known codecs: flac,pcm,mp3,ogg,aac,wma,alac,dsd (mad, mpg for specific mp3 codec)

but after putting -e „alac“, all my alac files are then playing correctly
that s why im really wondering
    same things with Picoreplayer
