SD-Card full

After years of operation, my installation with Squeezebox simply stopped working.
To make a long story short, I found out that the SD card was completely full.
I have already googled and deleted a few log files, there is some space again.
However, the system just won’t start anymore.

    1. is there anything that can be salvaged? Or do I have to reinstall on a larger card?
    2. is there anything I can do to prevent the system from filling up?

I have the same problem. Using standard Linux instructions doesn’t help. I believe that this is an old problem that Max2Play just don’t want to fix.
I just did a clean install on an 8Gig SD card, and the image takes 33%. The extra files that were on it must have been update files, but there is no apparent method of cleaning up the image.

BTW I don’t think you need to use a larger card. Just format your existing card and re-install.

My fear is that in a few years I’ll have the same problem again and have to reinstall everything again and again… 🤬
Because of that I will need a larger SD Card.

And btw even I deleted some cache and log files in between, the system doesn’t start anymore!
