Hi Sven,
Do you use the RPi3? If so, try using the WPS feature (if your router supports it). Also, please make sure the option „load WiFi interface“ is ticked and that your WiFi is active and has received an IP address. Finally, while the version of Max2Play is a little older, the basic steps are still the same on the youtube video I did on the plugin.
