    Hi,

I have installed my first Max2Play ona Raspi. I really like it up to now, as I try to get deeper into the features.

I have a Logitech Media Server running on a Windows Home Server which contains all my music. What I miss now is a way to wake up the Homeserver when the Raspi is powered on (by switching on the Hifi-System where the Raspi is attached to) with Wake-on-Lan.

Is there any plugin available for this? Or any other way to do this?

    Thanks
    Sascha

    Hi Sascha,

There is no feature in Max2Play for wake on LAN yet. How would you envision such an application?

In general, I’d recommend trying out the LMS on the Raspberry itself. It’s a simple installer and the server works great on the Pi with a player unit active as well. You can also have both server and player running 24/7 in this setup as the Pi has a very low power consumption.

Also, not sure if this is helpful in your case but most main features of Max2Play can be controlled via API with our APi-Examples Plugin. You can copy-paste the commands into the interface of your choice to control Max2Play from home automation or even your Windows Home Server.
