My Music – empty

I am running Max2Play version 2.53 on RaspberryPi 4b (2MB) with HifiBerry Amp2.
Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.4
I have set up a Max2Play Filesystem Mount as follows:
Path: //WDMYCLOUDEX4100/Classical
Mountpoint: /mnt/classical
Type: nfs
Options: user=admin,password=****,iocharset=utf8,sec=ntlm
The music files are mounted on a Western Digital WDMYCLOUDEX4100 running Debian. The network share has NFS mode enabled. As a test I have put one file in a simple share in each of these formats: wma, mp3, flac, wav.
When I request a “rescan” it finds no files.
I am able to stream internet radio so I know the speakers are working. But since a rescan finds no media files on my NAS, I cannot play my own music. Below is the most recent part of scanner.log
Suggestions please for what I should do?

Hi Ian,

For an NFS share you have to specify the IP address differently: IP-ADDRESS:PATH or *:PATH instead of //IP-ADDRESS/PATH
Furthermore, an NFS share does not require a user login.

Unfortunately MyMusic is still empty after a couple of rescans.

Hi Ian,

Please create a mountpoint again, but with cifs. So use the previous form of the IP address again, enter cifs instead of nfs and use the login. Before you run a scan with your Squeezebox server, please check with WinSCP or a similar program that the folder was mounted correctly, so we know if the error is with the Squeezebox server or with the mount.

Thanks for your help, its working now using these settings:
Path: //10.0.0.16/Music
Mountpoint: /mnt/Music
Type: cifs
Options: user=admin,password=****,iocharset=utf8,sec=ntlm

It took a couple of attempts before it finally worked.
I have different question for which I’ll open a new post.
