Hi,

I just created a Multishairport Addon similar to the existing Multisqueeze Addon for Max2Play. This was one of the „Most Wanted“ features on our list.

If you want to run more than one Shairport (Apple Airplay) instance on your Raspberry Pi and have more than one soundcard attached, this may be for you! Easily set up your Airplay for a Multiroom-Audio environment with just one Max2Play-Device (Raspberry Pi).

The Betaversion for the Addon can be installed on the „Settings / Reboot“ Page by pasting this link to the Plugin installer:

Besides using multiple soundcards, it is also possible to use custom configurations of „asound.conf“ to get a multichannel soundcard to play separate audiostreams on each channel for different rooms (there are some threads in this forum that show how to do the magic: https://www.max2play.com/en/forums/topic/logilink-7-1-configuration-on-latest-234-jessie-image/).

Hi,

How is this diferent to the squeezebox shairtunes2 plugin?
i suppose if i want to try the multishaireport i beter have the squeezebox shairtunes2 plugin removed.
