    Hi Guys,
    I’m looking to move my MQTT Broker from my laptop to my Pi.
    Currently the Pi is setup for Max2Play which works great. Thank you for your efforts.

    Would I need to add MQTT as an extension to Max2Play to keep things running?

    Owntracks has some great instructions for installing MQTT on the Pi, but I’m
    not sure how to take the first step to get MQTT & Max2Play on the same Pi.

    Hi,

    I’am running a MQTT broker on one of my M2P raspis. There are no interferences between MQTT and the functions oft M2P. So you may just install it following the instructions on owntracks and everything will be fine 🙂
    Just using one pi for kodi and MQTT may cause some performance problems if youre using MQTT very heavy….

    Thanks for the quick answer and the warning about performance issues. Not using Kodi and at the present time MQTT usage is very lite. My husband would not be pleased if I interfered with the performance on the stereo end. Thanks
