In this post we will walk you through the assembly of the transparent case for the Raspberry Pi with HiFiBerry DAC+, DAC+ light, DAC+ pro, Digi+ or Digi+ transformer.<\/p>\n

Open the bags and unpack the parts. Make sure to remove the protective layer from the plates, they stick to the surface so try peeling them off on the edges. When you are done, your parts should look like the right image. The HiFiBerry DAC and Digi have different sound plugs. Therefore two different pieces for the case are delivery. Use the smaller metal spacers (12mm) and mount them onto the Raspberry Pi using four nuts and\u00a0make sure to put the four washers under the nuts.<\/p>\n

With the smaller spacers\u00a0in place, we can now screw the four bigger spacers (16mm)\u00a0right on top and affix\u00a0your sound card [\/spb_text_block] [spb_text_block title=”Step 3″ pb_margin_bottom=”no” pb_border_bottom=”no” width=”2\/3″ el_position=”first”]\n
Take the first side plates with the recesses for the connections and attach the side plates to the device.<\/p>\n
Now we need to add the other side plates and snap them into place. Be careful not to apply too much force, they should fit together very easily. If all parts fit into the bottom plate, add the plate and affix it to the Pi with the four remaining nuts.<\/p>\n
Now all that’s missing is the top plate. It needs to be fixed on top with the four included screws that go into the threads on the big spacers’ surface.<\/p>\n
